What are robowaifus?

Robowaifus are female robot companions yet to be fully realized that will serve a variety of functions for their companions. There are many approaches being explored on the path to developing them, namely companion robots with cartoonish animatronic features augmented with machine intelligence to virtual reality and simple chatbots. The term robowaifu is a portmanteau of robot and waifu. A robot being a machine capable of carrying out a complex series of actions automatically, and a waifu being a term for a fictional character, usually in anime or related media, that someone has a great affection for, so much that he wishes she were his wife.

Making robowaifus isn't easy, stay calm and find a place to start. Find channels to watch and books to read.	Hold onto your papers! Explore requests for research. Connect with others doing R&D.	You're also welcome to make pages for your own projects or document other people's projects.	If you find this wiki useful please consider contributing something you know, starting wanted pages, expanding short pages connecting ronery pages and dead ends.
